Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 21 at Tabor Lutheran Church in Mountain from 1 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 3 p.m., for Janice M. Wichman, 73, of Mountain.
Pastor Paul Scheunemann will officiate and Gruetzmacher Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She passed away at her home with family at her side on Sunday, Feb. 17, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born on Nov. 18, 1939 to the late Herbert and Dolores (Hurst) Blohm, she married Glen Wichman on Feb. 23, 1957 in Seymour and retired from Lakewood Super Value after 13 years of employment. She enjoyed watching and feeding birds, deer and other wildlife and also enjoyed cooking for her family.
Surviving are her husband, Glen of Mountain; two sons, Kent (Sharon) Wichman of Clintonville and Todd (Janell) Wichman of Mountain; a daughter, Penny (Jim) Berg of Lakewood; four brothers, Melvin, Leroy, Donnie and David; three sisters, Carol, Lois and Joanne; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Weber.
