James R. Kopish
James R. Jim Kopish, 70, of Marinette passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.
Born Oct. 12, 1942 in Marinette to Rudolph and Catherine (Urbaniak) Kopish, he resided in the twin city area all of his life.
A 1960 graduate of Marinette Catholic Central High School, he then attended UW-Eau Claire and married the former Bonnie Lynn Beland on Aug. 3, 1963. Earlier in his life he worked in advertising for the former Menominee Herald-Leader. Most of his employment years were spent with Scott Paper Co., from which he retired.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; three children, Kathy (Todd) Clairmont of Menominee, Kelly Verbrick of Minneapolis, Minn. and James (Judy) Kopish of West Bend; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two brothers, Steven (Joan) Kopish of Duluth, Minn. and Raymond (Judi) Kopish of Green Bay.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Jack Kopish of Marinette.
Friends called at Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home in Marinette after 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 2 until time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m.
