Kevin R. Moore, 55, of Green Bay passed away Friday, March 15 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.
Born March 13, 1958 in Eau Claire to the late Robert H. and Beverly (Hanke) Moore, he spent his earliest years in Eau Claire before moving with his family to Marinette.
A 1976 graduate of Marinette High School, he was a standout basketball and baseball player while in high school. He went on to graduate from UW-Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a major in Journalism. He worked as a reporter for the Green Bay News-Chronicle and Kalihwisaks, the newspaper of the Oneida Nation. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed duck hunting and watching all sports.
He is survived by four sisters, Kyle (Randy) Johnson of Prescott, Carrie Moore of Evanston, Ill., Sheila LaFortune of Elkhart, Ind. and Tracy (Christian) Moore Martinez of Washburn and six nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home in Marinette after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20 until time of the funeral services at 4 p.m. Rev. Fred Stubenvoll will officiate and burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire
