Pastor Paul Schleis will officiate at funeral services on Saturday, March 23 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Green Bay, at 11 a.m., for Mary K. (Eland) Porod, 51, of Green Bay.
Friends may call on Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until time of the service. Proko-Wall Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. She passed away on Sunday, March 17 after a valiant battle with cancer.
Born on July 27, 1961 in Milwaukee to the late Louis L. and Edna (Bunte) Eland, she graduated from Menominee High School in 1980, where she lived until relocating to Green Bay.
An active member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, she was employed at Aurora Hospital where she excelled in her work and touched the lives of many coworkers. She had an avid interest in auctions, antiquing and collectibles. She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons, George III (Stephanie) Porod of Green Bay and Benjamin Porod, (fiance, Taylor Mae), United States Army; her fiance, Rodney Pudge VanLanen and daughters, Vanessa and Chantel of Green Bay; siblings, Darrell (Linda) Eland, Judy (Gabe) Shampo, Gloria (Ken) Goffin, Ron (Kitti) Eland and Dave (Cindy) Eland; two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
