Wagner Fire Department Gets $1601 from Card Series
The Golden Opportunity and Kountry Kids 4-H clubs and Wagner Volunteer Fire Department Cadets held their last card party of the series on Saturday, March 23 at the Wagner Town Hall.
Each game winner received $5 from an anonymous donor. Winner in 50 for the adults was Diane Hueter and kids was Bethanie Hueter. In Pinochle winners were for the men, Erv Krukowski and for the women, Renee Woodward. Smear winners for the men was Rick Rickaby and for the women, Betty Harbick. The grand series high in 50 for adults was Paul Hueter and kids was Zayn Kowalski. The grand series high in Pinochle for men was Walton Johnson and for women Vicki Lempke. The grand series high in Smear for men was Len Sadowski and for women Melissa Christiansen. Each winner received $5.
The children's raffle winners were Melanie Brieno, Easter basket from Kountry Kids; Callum Rickaby and Emily Caylor two bottle of bubbles from Rick Rickabys; Mattie Renikow candy jar from the Retza family; Austin Guns stuffed duck and bunny Easter basket from the Will Labunskis; Mattie Renikow rocket from Biernasz Logging; stuffed bear from Callum Rickaby, Kowalskis; stuffed bear from the Krukowskis, Tina Kowalski; and a chocolate bunny from Connor Walters, Chloe Meyers.
Weekly raffle winners were fire extinguisher from Franklin Suennen to Vicki Lempke; tie blanket made by Ember Rickaby, Vicki Lempke; Tractor Supply plant kit went to Melanie Brieno; bird houses made and donated by Walter Wickman to Dorothy Suennen and Sierra O'Mary; mittens made by Lynda Caylor to Ember Rickaby; DeYoung Family Zoo passes, Kowalskis to Nancy Meyers and Amber Caylor.

Silent auction items were whoopee pies made by Ember Rickaby to Rebekah Wickman; egg tree made by Louann Petersen went to Tina Kowalski; and coconut cake made by Stacy Sturmer to Lynda Caylor. Winner of the 50-50 raffle was Mary Labunski.

Working from the Golden Opportunity Club were Ember Rickaby, leader, Tina and Zayn Kowalski, Melany Brieno, Marissa Burg, Maddy Golueke, Rebekah Wickman, Rick, Ricky, Alastair and Callum Rickaby and Sandi Brumbaugh.
Cadets included Franklin Suennen, Paul, Nathaniel, Bethanie and Diane Hueter, Hannah Baumler and Lynn and Stacy Sturmer. Helping from the Kountry Kids 4-H were Sierra O'Mary, Jeana Biernasz, Matti Renikow, and leader Anne Biernasz.
The approximate amount of money raised for the Wagner Volunteer Fire Department is $1,601. Everyone who helped make the card parties a success in anyway is thanked.
