THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Kathleen Kanikula passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, March 20, after a four year battle with cancer.
Born on March 9, 1946 to Michael and Lucille Kolosso, she married Richard Kanikula on Oct. 9, 1971 and they had three sons.
She spent most of her life living in Peshtigo with her family and worked as a registered nurse at Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette. She served as an Alderwoman for the City of Peshtigo and was also a union representative at BAMC. She retired to Crivitz with her husband and spent her golden years traveling and enjoying time with her family. She made many friends due to her nature of being kind and outgoing.
She is survived by her three sons, Erik (Julie), Peter (Joy) and Christopher (Elisa) and six grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Michael and Lucille Kolosso and her husband, Richard.
A private service was held at Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home, Peshtigo on Sunday, March 24 at 1 p.m.
