THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Irene Broderick, 89, passed away on Saturday, March 30 in Chicago.
Born on July 30, 1923 to Gottlieb and Bertha Stanke, she was born and raised on a farm in Pound. She taught the primary grades in Milwaukee Public Schools for many years and was a member of the Section Eight Baptist Church in Pound.
Surviving is a nephew, Glenn Broderick.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Edward and Elmer and three sisters, Ruth, Mary Salesky Piencikowski, and Lucille.
Friends may visit at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman on Saturday, April 6 at 11 a.m. with a service and funeral to follow at 12:30 p.m. Pastor Giles Litzner of Section Eight Baptist Church will officiate and burial will be in the First Baptist Cemetery in Pound.
