Kenneth J. Culver
Kenneth John Culver, 86, of Manteno, Ill., formerly of Crivitz, died Tuesday, April 9 at the Illinois Veterans Home at Manteno.
Born Sept. 23, 1926 in Spring Green, he was the son of Frank and Ida Wegmann Culver.
He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran and served from Oct. 19, 1943 to May 3, 1946. He married Marjorie Neshek on Sept. 27, 1947 and received his BA from Spencerian College in Milwaukee in 1952. He held various sales management positions between 1955 and 1989 including, International Circulation Distributors (ICD), Inc., New York, NY; McCall Corporation, New York, N.Y.; CBS Publications, New York, N.Y. and Knapp Communications Corporation, Los Angeles, Calif. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing in the solitude of Wisconsin.
Surviving are his wife, Marjorie; a son, Craig (Teresa) Culver of Bourbonnais; a daughter, Judith (Thad) Gonsalves of California; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a brother, Ralph Culver of Milwaukee.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dorothy Wheeler.
Private inurnment was held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Presence Heritage Village and Presence Home Care.
