THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Diane Shaffer, 57, formerly of Marinette, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, April 10 at her home in Green Bay.
Born to Bernard and Marilyn (Hanson) Glander on April 15, 1955 in Neenah, she enjoyed being an advocate at the Rainbow House in Marinette where she took great pride in helping many people. She also enjoyed fishing and golfing. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she loved to spoil them any chance she had.
Surviving are a son and two daughters, Tony (Sarah) Shaffer, Rebecca (Matthew) Petasek and Marian Shaffer, all of Green Bay; three grandchildren; her father, Ben; a brother, Mark (JoAnn) Glander of Crivitz; a sister, Corrine (Ronald) Vercauteren of Suamico and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony and her mother, Marilyn.
Friends called at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Crivitz on Tuesday, April 16 from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1 p.m. with Pastor Mark Hannemann officiating.
