Friends called at Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere on Monday, April 15 from 4 p.m. 6 p.m., for Barbara J. Steinhofer, 86, of De Pere.
Private funeral services were held and burial was in Fennimore Cemetery. She passed away on Friday, April 12 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay.
The daughter of the late Robert and Ada (Rundel) Griswold was born Nov. 10, 1926 in Livingston and graduated from Fennimore High School. She attended Platteville Teachers College and married George Steinhofer in Nashua, Io. at the little brown church in the veil.
She was an avid Packers and Brewers fan and enjoyed politics. She had a great love for babies and was very devoted to her family. She enjoyed spending time with her close friends.
Survivors include five children, Robert (Patricia) Steinhofer of Green Bay, Jane (Todd) Reimer of Appleton, Philip (Susan) Steinhofer of De Pere, Janet (Ralph) Ewert of Menomonee Falls and John (Jayne Lemminger) Steinhofer of Silver Cliff; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Oliver (Betty) and nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George and sisters and brothers, Marion, Harriet, Jack and Francis.
