Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 25 at Juehl Funeral Home, 108 E. Main St., Gillett, for Stewart A. Hertwig, 68, of Gillett.
Visitation will continue on Friday morning, April 26 at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Gillett from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Pastor Doreen Jeffers will officiate and a luncheon will follow in the church fellowship. Interment will be in St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery, Gillett. He passed away Monday, April 22 at his residence.
Born June 20, 1944 in Oconto Falls to the late Leonard and Marie Hertwig, he had many hobbies throughout his life.
He had a passion for playing the guitar, golfing and watching his beloved Packers. He also enjoyed attending his grandchildrens events. He was a very active member of St. Johns Lutheran Church and the Gillett American Legion.
Surviving are a daughter, Jody (Hertwig) Olson (special friend, Cliff); a son, Scott Hertwig (special friend, Maureen); six grandchildren; a brother, Claire (Elaine) Hertwig; a sister-in-law, Sue Hertwig; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Hertwig; a sister, Dawn Kohn and a brother-in-law, Lyle Kohn.
