THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Roy Bylund, 87, of Marinette passed away Friday, April 26 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.
Born June 1, 1925 in Muskegon, Mi. to the late Rudolph and Ellen Bylund., he served in the United States Army Air Force and Reserves from 1945 until 1952. He married the former Marva Postema on June 20, 1947 and worked for General Motors in Detroit, Mi. as a pattern maker.
He attended Pioneer Presbyterian Church in Marinette and was a member of the Marinette Senior Center. He loved boating, fishing, playing cards and building and flying model airplanes.
He is survived by a son, David of Menominee; one grandson; one great-grandson; his fiance, Elaine Richmond of Marinette; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marva; a brother, Rudolph and numerous in-laws.
Friends may call at Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home in Marinette after 10 a.m. on Friday, May 3 until time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jon Nelson officiating.
