Marilyn Sue Marie Mc Keefry (Wery), 58, of Green Bay died unexpectedly of heart failure at her home on Tuesday, April 23.
The daughter of the late Leonard and Alice (Korposki) Mc Keefry was born in Green Bay on Aug. 3, 1954. She attended Preble High School, graduating with the Class of 1972.
She went on to the Wisconsin School of Cosmetology where she received her degree and married Robert Bobby Wery on Jan. 3, 1976. They were married for 10 years before he preceded her in death on May 28, 2003.
She dedicated a number of years as a CNA with San Luis Manor where she enjoyed the company and caring for the elderly. Later in life she enjoyed making new friends at the Cup O Joy Christian Coffee House with Dallas and the late Mary Gunderson. She also volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul when her time was thought to be most needed.
She enjoyed watching TV and was a Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewer fan, but mostly she enjoyed sharing her love of cooking with family and friends. A member of Trinity Lutheran Church, she taught Sunday school and was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, Post #11 in Bellevue where she supported the troops and veterans.
Surviving are four children, Adam John Wery of Bellevue, Dusty Lynn (Gary) Petersen of Marinette, Cory James Wery of Allouez and Bret Robert (Shannon) Wery of Oconto; five grandchildren; her siblings, Richard Dick Mc Keefry, Jo Mc Keefry and Karen Mc Keefry, all of Green Bay, Lori (Dale) Dombroski of Howard and Mark Mc Keefry of De Pere; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews and other relatives. She is also survived by close friends, Cynthia Cyndi Pierquet, Donna Van Eycke, Laurie (Bob) Becker, Sue (Ron) ODill, Al Dupont and Al (Connie) Czarneski.
Preceding her in death were her parents, aunts, uncles and grandparents.
In accordance to her wishes, private services were held. Her children will host a memorial picnic at a later date. Proko-Wall Funeral Home assisted the family.
