Ronald Cedric Henning
Ronald Cedric Henning, 69, of Fond du Lac, passed away April 30 at St. Agnes Hospital. Born June 28, 1943, in Fond du Lac, son of Cedric and Olivia Daley Henning, on July 15, 1967 he married Clara Thuecks at St. Marys Catholic Church, Fond du Lac.
A 1961 graduate of L.P. Goodrich High School, he earned an Associate Degree from MPTC and was employed by Ellison Electric Supply for 40 years retiring in 2007. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, an usher at St. Mary's Church, a member of Eagles Club #270 and an active member and former secretary of the Knights of Columbus Council #664. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, playing cards with his friends and was an avid Packer and NASCAR fan.
Survivors include his wife, Clara; his mother, Olivia of Fond du Lac; daughter, Laura Henning of Savannah, Ga.; son, Paul Henning of Peshtigo; two grandchildren; two brothers, David Henning of Fond du Lac and Ross Henning of Oshkosh; sister, Devra Scott of Fond du Lac; brother-in-law, Fred (Pat) Thuecks of North Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; a sister-in-law, Jane Henning and a brother-in-law, Michael Scott.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Zacherl Funeral Home, Fond du Lac and continued on Saturday, May 4 at Sacred Heart Church, Holy Family Parish, Fond du Lac, from 9 to 10:15 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday at Sacred Heart Church at 10:30 a.m. with entombment in the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Fond du Lac.
Memorials in his name may be directed to the American Cancer Society, the Epilepsy Foundation or the St. Agnes Hospice Hope Program. Zacherl Funeral Home served the family.
