William H. Keller
William Henry Sonny Bill Keller, 75, of Athelstane passed away Thursday, May 2 at the VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain, MI. with his wife by his side.
Born July 29, 1937 to the late William A. and Loretta E. (Maske) Keller at Menominee County Lloyd Hospital, he enlisted in the Navy in January of 1955, and served in the Korean War. He married the former Carol Cummings Jan. 25, 1958 and they had five children. He then married the former Betty Bruette on Sept. 12, 1980 and they had two children. He was a former employee of Marinette Marine, Kargard, and Morin and Johnson Well Drilling and was a long-time resident of both Menekaunee and Athelstane. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and fast cars.
Survivors include his wife Betty, and six children, William (Amy) Keller of Peshtigo, Mike (Laura Maye) Keller, Aaron (Shauna Marcussen) Keller, Susan (Dan) Nordquist, all of Marinette, Tammy (Ron) Coble of Harmony, and Dawn (Kevin) Nelezen of Crivitz; 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mark; a granddaughter Courtney, and his sister, Ruth Rynning.
Friends may call at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home in Crivitz on Thursday, May 9, from 8 a.m. until going to St. Mary Church for the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Rev. Walter Stumpf will officiate and burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Athelstane where military rites will be held.
