Helen J. Lemery
Helen J. Lemery, 91, of Marinette, passed away at home on Sunday, May 5. She was born to Frank and Anne (Henkel) Bomber on May 9, 1921, in Marinette, and graduated from Marinette High School in 1939. She married David A. Lemery on June 14, 1941, at St. Anthony's Church in Marinette, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 2011. She had worked at Boreal Glove Company as well as Milwaukee Glove Company.
She loved spending time with her family, camping, bowling, golfing and traveling. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, the Altar Society, Little River Country Club and the Silver Swingers.
Survivors are two sons, Thomas Lemery and Ted (Tammy) Lemery, both of Marinette; four daughters: Monica (Chuck) Helmuth of Des Moines, IA; Suzanne (David) Shandonay-England and Lori (John) Wrobleski of Marinette; Mary (Scott) Eickmeyer of Wallace, MI; daughter-in-law, Jean (Bob) Lemery-Harbick of Marinette; 14 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, David, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Robert and Bruce; one great granddaughter, Makenna; two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Thielen Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 8th from 4-7 p.m. with a wake service at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 9th. Entombment will be in Forest Home Mausoleum. Memorials to Unity Hospice are appreciated.
