THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Irene Zoellner, age 65 of Peshtigo, passed away at her home after a long illness, on May 7. Born on Dec. 12, 1947, daughter of the late Michael and Cecelia (Koshkowshka) Lucuniak, she married Dennis P. Zoellner at St. Mary Catholic Church on July 26, 1969. He preceded her in death on April 20, 2007.
Among survivors are three sisters, Helen (Thomas) Fetterly of Peshtigo, Julie Soletske of Coleman and Kathy (James) Lopez of Belen, NM; one niece and eight nephews; a sister-in-law, Trude (Richard) Striefel of Green Bay, and special caregiver Penny Swiatnicki.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dennis; a daughter, Lisa Marie; and the joy of her life, her son, Erik.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May, 13, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Peshtigo from 10 am until time of memorial service at 11 am with Sister Helen Plum, SSND officiating. Burial will be in Peshtigo Riverside Cemetery. Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
