Claryce Finger, a well-known area matron, celebrated her 105th birthday on Sunday, May 5 with family and friends at the Renaissance in Marinette. She was born on May 5, 1908 to George and Frances Borchert on a farm at Sweed Town in the County Line/Little River area near Oconto.
On July 25, 1931 she married Lawrence Finger and the couple had two children, Faye Hinnrichs and James Finger. The family circle also includes seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Finger enjoyed traveling throughout the States with her husband. She is well known for her decades of volunteering at Luther Home and Rennes Health Center West until the age of 100. She is a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peshtigo which has been an important part of her life.
She is a joy and inspiration to everyone who knows her.
