Frank M. Dudek
Frank M. Dudek, 85, of Coleman, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Community Memorial Hospital in Oconto Falls from complications following surgery. He was born to the late John and Catherine (Chmielowiecz) Dudek on August 1, 1927 at his parents home. He spent his entire life on the family farm. He enjoyed farming (especially during hay season and tending to his girls his cows, who were always named after his sisters and nieces), deer hunting, fishing, gardening, stopping at Fortiers with the guys for a quick one, and spending time with his family at home especially at Christmas.
He was a life-long member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Coleman-Pound.
Frank is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Marion Dudek of Coleman; his eight nieces and nephews: Frances Greve, Highland, CA; Kathy (Allen) Bursa, Coleman; Mary Jo (Rick) Wickland, Coon Rapids, MN; Dennis (Cheryl) Svejda, Lena; Janice (Scott) Cook, Lena; Daniel (Judy) Dudek, Appleton; Annette (David) Dufeck, Pound; Lori Ann (John ) Marquardt, Oconto Falls; and many great- and great-great -nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by twin brothers, John Jr. and Anthony; and four sisters; Anna (Leo) Hornick, Mary (Walter) Weber, Stella Dudek, and Bernice (Fred) Svejda.
Visitation was held Monday, May 13, 2013 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 228 E. Main St., Coleman from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with Fr. Celestine Byekwaso officiating. Frank was laid to rest at St. Leos Catholic Cemetery in Pound. Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman, assisted with the arrangements.
