Jeffery D. Guay, 61, passed away on May 21, at his home in Oconto.
It is a quiet giant who calms the morning, today the quietness was felt as a beloved father grandfather and brother in his unique gentle manner made the transition to peace and comfort.
Born Jan. 24, 1952 to John and Verna Mae (Cady) Guay, his energy was his smile, his gift to make laughter heard. A graduate of Marinette Catholic Central High School, he worked many years at Capitol Interior in Peshtigo. He married Kathy Bickel and the couple had four children.
Surviving are children, Jennifer (David) Saffran, Jessica (Chad) Anderson, Stacey (Aaron) Ferris and Jordon; five grandchildren; siblings, John (Sandy), Janet Ristau, Jean Miller, Judy Miller, Jayne (Greg) Benesh, Jim (Terry), Joel and Jodie (Brad) Lemke and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jill (Larry) Davis.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, May, 25 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Peshtigo from 9 a.m. until time of the Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Fr. John Harper will officiate and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo. Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home, Peshtigo is assisting the family with arrangements.
