Robert E. Koutnik, Sr.
Robert Edward Koutnik, sr., 71, of Wallace, Mi. passed away on Monday, May 20.
Born on May 22, 1941 in Menominee to the late Alex Jacob and Anna (Velich) Koutnik, he graduated from Menominee High School, Class of 1959.
He married the former Jacquelyn ONeill on Dec. 14, 1961 in Villa Park, Ill. He worked throughout the country as an iron worker for over 40 years and was a member of the Iron Workers Union 1 in Chicago, Ill. and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed hunting and gardening and had a special fondness for his rose garden.
He is survived by his wife of over 51 years, Jacquelyn; two sons, Robert Koutnik, jr. of Marinette and Patrick (Gina) Koutnik of Pleasant Gardens, N.C.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Marie (Ronald) Boesem of Marinette and a brother, Kenneth (Jeanette) Koutnik, sr. of Peshtigo.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tina; a sister, Annamae LaPalm and a brother, Alex James Koutnik.
Funeral services will be held at Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home on Thursday, May 23 at 6:30 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of services. Rev. Scott Ehle will officiate and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee.
