Sally B. Swanson, 76, passed away Sunday, May 19 at Newcare Convalescent Center in Crivitz.
The former Sally Latimer was born Nov. 14, 1936 in La Salle, Ill. and married Robert Swanson on Aug. 9, 1971 in Las Vegas.
The couple resided in the Crivitz area and she retired as a nurse from the former Marinette General Hospital. She was the first female president of the Crivitz Rescue Squad which she served for many years. She loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed reading, gardening and her garfield and bulldog collectibles.
Surviving are three children, Dann (Angel) Singleton of Phoenix, Ariz., Barbara (Russ) Kleikamp of Pound and Shelba (Mark) Rhode of Crivitz; 10 grandchildren, including special granddaughter, Venessa (Ted) Lange of Peshtigo and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; a son, Charlie and a grandson, Mike.
Friends may call at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home in Crivitz on Monday, May 27 from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Rev. Richard Marcy will officiate and burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. In lieu of cut flowers, the family prefers perennial flowers or a memorial flower garden.
