Bernice H. Parker, 89, of Marinette passed away Sunday, May 26 at Rennes Health Center-East in Peshtigo.
Born Sept. 23, 1923 in Milwaukee to William and Edna (Lohn) Wagner, she spent her early life there and married Frank J. Parker in 1940.
They moved to Marinette in August of 1962 and together operated the Marinette Sport Shop for many years. He preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 1990. She enjoyed camping with her husband and also spent time crocheting, sewing and reading. A church organist for several years, she was a member of Grace Community Church in Marinette.
Survivors include a daughter and a son, Jean (Jim) Nielson and Jerry (Linda) Parker, both of Marinette; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and a brother, Raymond (MaryAnn) Wagner of Crivitz.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Greg Nielson.
Friends may call at Grace Community Church in Marinette after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29 with funeral services held at 3 p.m. Rev. Paul Henschel will officiate and burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery. Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home, Marinette is serving the family.
