Jeffrey Woodworth, Sr.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Oconto, for Jeffrey Woodworth, sr., 55, of Three Lakes and formerly of the Oconto area.
Visitation was at the church on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of the Mass. Burial followed in Oconto Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home, Eagle River. He died Wednesday, May 22 at his home.
The son of Oren and Audrey (Brabant ) Woodworth was born and raised in Oconto, where he attended school. He received a masters degree in business administration from Park College in Kansas City, Mo.
On April 24, 1976 he married Mary Cooper in Three Lakes and entered the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1976 to 1989 as an MP and received the highest award for marksmanship. After retiring from the Marines he was employed by Ginghis Formal Wear in Green Bay and also worked as a truck driver with his son, Peter. The couple moved to Three Lakes in 2008. He enjoyed gardening and hunting.
His wife, Mary survives along with two sons, Jeffrey, jr. of Oshkosh and Peter of Three Lakes; his parents, Oren and Audrey Woodworth of Oconto; two brothers, Tim (Rita) of Sheboygan Falls and Steve (Janette) of Oconto; three sisters, Judy (Skip) Colissimo of North Dakota and Gail (Rick) Schneider and Patti-Jo (Jeff) Ernst, both of Oconto; four grandchildren; his father-in-law, Peter Bonkowski of Three Lakes; a brother-in-law, Phil Johnson of Three Lakes and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lucy Bonkowski.
