Allan J. Kamps, 54, of Marinette passed away Friday, May 24 in Minnesota.
Born Sept. 21, 1958 in Marinette to Leon and Marlyn (Rouse) Kamps, he resided in Marinette all of his life and was a 1977 graduate of Marinette High School, where he was an outstanding athlete and played all sports.
He was employed at Waupaca Foundry in Marinette for over 30 years. On May 20, 1989, he married the former Jackie Koch in Gaylord, Minn. He was an avid softball player and also enjoyed golfing and motorcycle riding. He was an especially devoted grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie; a daughter, Sara (Phil) Milazzo of San Diego, Calif.; two grandsons; a sister, Lynn Seils; a brother, David Kamps and other relatives and friends in the Koch family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home in Marinette from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 6. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. on Thursday evening. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested for the Menominee Animal Shelter.
