John D. Leaveck, Sr.
John Donald Leaveck, sr., 74 of Stephenson, Mi. passed away on Thursday, May 30 at the Luther Home following a short stay.
Born on March 22, 1939 in Stephenson to the late James and Virginia (Bayee) Leaveck, on June 7, 1969 he married the former Donna Meintz at Precious Blood Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; children, Tammy (Rory) Mireau of Stephenson, John, jr. (Sandy) of Marinette, Francis (Nikki) of Peshtigo, Christopher (Becky) of Menominee and Tiffany (Ron Tharp) Leaveck of Wallace, Mi.; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way; four sisters, Harriet Tebo, Joanne Swille, Frances Harris and Sally Rivard; three brothers, Joe Leaveck, Richard Leaveck and Jim Leaveck; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Family and friends called at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home, Stephenson, Mi. on Monday, June 3 after 3 p.m. until time of military rites at 6 p.m. Funeral services followed with Deacon Tom Rivard officiating.
