Rev. Hannemann Retires From Area Churches
-Rev. Mark Hannemann, pastor of Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, Crivitz, and St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, Beaver, will retire after serving 40 years in the active ministry. He will preside over his last services on June 16th.
The service at St. Matthew's begins at 8:30 AM, and the service at Grace starts at 10 AM. Following the service at Grace church, members of both congregations will host an open house at the Crivitz Village Hall, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, with a time of recognition at 12:30 PM. The public is invited to attend and share sentiments and memories with Pastor and his wife, Bonnie.
During his time as pastor, having served both congregations since January, 1985, Pastor Hannemann has met the spiritual needs of his congregations, faithfully sharing God's word. He also served the needs of the community during his time as a volunteer EMT with the Crivitz Rescue Squad. After retiring from NewCare, Bonnie shared her talents as a seamstress with many residents of the area through her Threads of Life sewing business. The couple plant to retire to Escanaba, MI. Pastor Hannemann will serve St. Matthew as a retired vacancy pastor beginning in September.
