Lawrenz Opens Counseling Center
The Labor of Love Counseling and Education Center North Woods has opened at 619 Main St., Wausaukee. It offers free no obligation mental health screenings to anyone in the area.
Owned and operated by Laurie Lawrenz, MA, LSW, CDVTS, CSOTA, she received a BA in Psychology from Ashford University and a Master of Arts degree in counseling from Lakeland College. She is currently working on a PhD degree in family counseling and gender identity at North Central University. A licensed Wisconsin social worker and mental health counselor she has certifications in domestic abuse victim and batterer treatment, sex offender treatment and substance abuse treatment. Laurie offers counseling for all ages and for a variety of mental health issues.
Labor of Love Center accepts a variety of insurance plans including Medicaid. A sliding scale fee payment plan is available for under or uninsured individuals. For a confidential screening contact her at 715-291-9328.
