Richard Leaveck, Jr.
Richard Rick Leaveck, jr., 48, of Stephenson, Mi. passed away after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, June 5 at home.
He enjoyed restoring old cars, tractors and Mack Trucks. He further enjoyed going early in the morning to drink coffee at the Stephenson Family Restaurant with his buddy. He worked as a mechanic for the Menominee County Road Commission for almost 20 years and was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church.
He is survived by his long life partner, Pauline and three children, Amanda, Travis and Tyler, all of Menominee; parents, Rich and Shirley Leaveck of Stephenson, Mi.; two sisters, Sherry (Joe) Svinicki of Daggett, Mi. and Robin (Al) Macco of Stephenson, Mi.; a brother, Randy (Tammy) Leaveck of Stephenson, Mi. and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, along with many aunts and uncles.
Family and friends called at Precious Blood Catholic Church on Saturday, June 8 from 8 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Fr. Corey Litzner officiated and burial followed in Stephenson Township Cemetery. Anderson Diehm Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. Donations in his name may be made to the Barb Palzewic Hope Memorial which helps local cancer patients.
