THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Harriet Ivanis, 51, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Athelstane on Sunday, June 16.
Born Dec. 2, 1961 to the late Frank and Mary Jarnig, she married David (Shakey) Ivanis on July 16, 2007.
An active member of the community, she wasnt afraid to voice her opinions. She loved her animals and the outdoors. She cherished spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She was the current Girl Scout leader of troops in both Crivitz and Wausaukee, where she was looking forward to a summer full of activities.
She is survived by her husband, David; a daughter, Anne (Bobby) Whitman; two sons, Dave and Jeff Wettberg; grandchildren; two brothers, Larry and JJ Jarnig; two sisters, Jean (Denny) Rouselatos and Karen (Dean) Opgenorth and many nieces and nephews, including Jessi (Tim) Rogers and Charlie (Jenny) Jarnig.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Judy and Joyce Jarnig and two brothers, Dick and Bud Jarnig.
A celebration of life will be held at The Corner in Athelstane on Sunday, June 30 from 12 noon to 4 p.m.
