Task Force in High Falls Area
The Marinette County OWI Task Force will continue its impaired driving enforcement on Saturday, July 6 targeting the High Falls area near Crivitz. This is a joint effort between the Marinette County Sheriffs Department and the Marinette Police Department. Officers urge motorists to drive safely and soberly for a safe 4th of July weekend.
The Niagara Area Task Force deployment results of June 29 included 46 traffic stops, 7 OWI arrests with two drug impaired drivers, 32 citations, 35 warnings, 3 OAR citation, 4 drug arrests, one warrant. A total of 44% of drivers stopped were aware of the task force being out.
Officers thank the Lions Club, tavern owners league, and friends who provided free rides with limo and bus service in the area for the evening.
