Janet Julia Leslie, 75, of Menominee, Mi. passed away on Saturday, July 6 at Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette.
She was born on Oct. 22, 1937 in Wallace, Mi., the only daughter of Frank L. and Helen (Valcq) Haulotte. She graduated from Menominee High School Class of 1955 and married Floyd Leslie on April 30, 1960 at the First Presbyterian Church in Menominee.
A member of the Pioneer Presbyterian Church in Marinette, she was a bookkeeper in her dads construction company and also worked in the accounting department at the former Ansul Company from high school until 1962, when she became a full time mother and homemaker. Her greatest pleasure was being involved with her family. Her hobbies were sewing, knitting and most any kind of craft work. She spent many years as a Sunday School teacher, a Girl Scout and Brownie leader and was a Cub Master when her grandson was in Cub Scouts.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Floyd; two daughters, Julie Ann (Tom) Skrzypinski of Menominee and Linda Jean Leslie of Menomonee Falls; one grandson; one great-grandson; a brother, Ken (Melba) Haulotte; a niece, Dana Haulotte, a nephew Brian (Shannon) Haulotte, all of Texas and many other family members and friends.
Visitation was at Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 9 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services were held at the Pioneer Presbyterian Church in Marinette on Wednesday, July 10 at 10 a.m. Rev. Jon Nelson officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee, Mich.
