Stephen P Micoley, 89, of Spruce passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, July 7.
Born Aug. 26, 1923 at the family homestead in Spruce, he married Shirley Suelflow on Aug. 14, 1954.
Together they owned and operated the Micoley family dairy farm in Spruce. He also tended bar at the Holiday Inn and Round Roof at Kelly Lake for almost 40 years. He loved deer hunting, trout fishing, bowling and playing cards with the weekly group.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Shirley; two children, Kim (Anthony) McGinitty of Oconto Falls and Mark (Kathy) Micoley of Spruce; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Dee Lenz of Milwaukee and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Gertrude Jisa and Dorothy Kanack; two brothers, Albert and Bernard Butch.
Friends called from 9 a.m. until time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10 at St. Annes Catholic Church, Lena. Fr. Polycarp Ssebbowa officiated and interment followed at Pine Hill Cemetery, Spruce. Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Lena assisted the family.
