Helen M. Kresl, 98, resident of NEW Care Convalescent Center, Crivitz passed away peacefully Monday, July 15.
Born in Chicago, Ill. on May 16, 1915, she married Miles L. Kresl in Chicago on June 27, 1936. The couple lived in Stickney, Ill. until 1946 when they moved to Lake Noquebay, Crivitz where they owned and operated Kresls Resort, until retirement in 1978.
The couple lived in Florida for many years until returning to Crivitz in 1998. She was an integral part of the success of the resort, working long days and nights providing for their guests, many of who became lifelong friends. She will be remembered as a strong willed person with a sensitive and caring heart.
Survivors include two sons, Miles, jr. (Renee) of Crivitz and James (Sharon) of Hilbert; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Miles; two brothers and a sister.
Memorial services will be held at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home in Crivitz on Saturday, July 20 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial contribution to the Alzheimers Association, 1725 Dousman St., Green Bay, WI 54303.
