Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 18 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Oconto, for Mary Jane Leja, 89.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Thursday from noon until time of the Mass at 3:30 p.m. Rev. Joel Sember will officiate and burial will be at the Oconto Catholic Church Cemetery. She passed away Sunday, July 14 at Grancare Nursing Center, Green Bay.
The daughter of the late Michael and Emma (Wittock) Brennan was born Oct. 14, 1923 in Oconto.
She married Edward Leja and he preceded her in death on April 13, 1990. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, St. Annes Society and the Moose Club in Indiana.
Surviving are a niece and nephew, Cindy Frease and David Niezgodski.
Along with her parents and her husband, Edward, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph, Robert, Patrick and Michael Brennan and five sisters, Agnes Ernstberger, Emma Thome, Margaret Peterson, Viola Early and Ceil Noack.
