Hilda N. Heimerman, 84, of Mountain passed away on Thursday, July 25.
Born Jan. 3, 1929 to the late Gerhard and Leola (Lyons) Stuewer, she married Dalton P. Heimerman on Sept. 24, 1949 at St. John Lutheran Church in Hayes.
For the last 26 years the couple spent their retirement in the Mountain area. She enjoyed gardening, canning, puzzles, reading, fishing, snowmobiling, and especially being outdoors. She was a member of the Tabor Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid.
She is survived by four daughters, Valarie Dillenbeck of Zion, Ill., Marjorie Stroik of Madison and Marla (Lenny) Heimermann and Patricia (Jim) Wolf, both of New Holstein; four sons, Dalton (Penny) of Suring, Leslie (Vicki) of Green Bay, Bruce (Debbie) of Manitowoc and John (Aoy) of Marinette; a brother, Bernhard (Hazel) Stuewer of Suring; two sisters, Luretta Wilber of Suring and Violet Hinkfus of Gillett; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers-in law, Gene Wilber and Lavern Hinkfus; a son-in-law, Gary Dillenbeck; five brothers and a sister that died at birth.
Visitation was held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home on Sunday, July 28 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation continued on Monday, July 29 at Tabor Lutheran Church from 9:30 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Paul Scheunemann officiating. Interment was in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery.
