Kelly Marie Kallies, 35, Oconto Falls passed away Friday afternoon, July 26 at the Meng Hospice Residence Center in De Pere following a 14 month fight with cancer.
Born on April 22, 1978 in Green Bay to Benedict and Anne (Sinclair) Banaszynski, jr., she grew up in the Pulcifer area. She attended Gillett Public Schools, graduating from Gillett High School in 1996.
On July 17, 1999 she married her high school sweetheart, Mike Kallies at St. John 's Lutheran Church in Gillett. Shortly after their marriage the couple moved to Oconto Falls where she worked as a day care teacher at Building Blocks Too for eight years. She was currently working with her husband in the family business, MK Photography of Oconto Falls. A member of Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls, she was a Girl Scout leader and loved camping and spending time with her family.
Survivors are her husband, Mike; two children, Elizabeth and Mitchell at home; her parents, Jay and Anne Banaszyski of Phelps; a sister, Misty (Brad) Reed and a brother, Kevin (Megan) Banaszynski, all of Oconto Falls; paternal grandfather, Benedict Banaszynski, sr. of Cecil; her godchild and niece, Tesia Banaszynski and other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Sandy Banaszynski; maternal grandparents, Teddy and Milly Sinclair and her paternal great-grandmother, Toddy Krueger.
Visitation will be held after 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3 at Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls until the time of service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Larry Bong officiating. Because of her desire to help people, her body was received at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
