Marvin P. Poquette, 84, of Carney, Mi. passed away on Saturday, July 27 at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers, Mi.
Born Oct. 4, 1928 in Nadeau, Mi. to the late Phillip and Alda (Depotsie) Poquette. On Aug. 1, 1953 he married the former Joan Vaughn in Manistique, Mi., she preceded him in death on July 5, 2011. The couple lived in Milwaukee for many years.
He worked for Vilter Manufacturing in Milwaukee and following his retirement, they returned to Carney. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, watching baseball and the Green Bay Packers. He was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church.
Survivors include a sister, Eloda (Al) DePatie of Franklin; a brother, Jerome Poquette of Pulaski and nieces, nephews and good friends, Janet and Pete Brooks of Carney, Mi.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry and a sister-in-law, Ann.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, Aug. 7 at St. Bruno Catholic Church from 2 p.m. until time of the Memorial Mass at 3 p.m. Fr. Michael Vichich will officiate and burial will follow in Nadeau Township Cemetery. Anderson Diehm Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
