Loomis Lists Fun Day Winners
American Legion Post 476 and Ladies Auxillary held their fourth annual fun day in Loomis July 27. Winners of the ticket raffle were grand prize Hayward Anderson, $500. Other cash prize winners were Jacqueline Fowles $250; Jeff Sewell $100; Dennis Norek $50; Donna Williams $25; Bernice Rosa $25; Maria Boye, Betty Burmeister, Mary Ann Dyer, Dave Evancheck, and Richey Gilley, $10.
Bucket Raffle winners included Shirley Smith, Ice Bucket BBQ and Snap On Mugs; Michael Keith, oil change from Witt Ford and chicken dinner at Timberline Bar & Grill; Bunny Kotecki, chicken dinner at Timberline Bar & Grill; Jerry Mech, certificate from Loopys Bar & Grill; Jenny Phillips, $25 gft certificate from Hook, Line and Sinker Sporting Goods; Gail Meyer, free round of golf courtersy of Desmidt's Country Club; Ken Wingender, carry bags; Bill Sporrer, bird feeder courtesy of Crivitz Feed & Seed LLC.; Sue Phillips, Loopys Bar & Grill certificate; and Julie Retza, tool box.
Fishing Casting Contest winners included first, Shannon Mech and Riley Frievalt; second, Mackenzie Berry, Brady McVane, Melody Smith and Lily Smith. Other winners were Caleb Smith, Viola Smith, Devon Nygren, Mike Retza and Rebecca Retza.
The Post and Fun Day Coordinator Tony Phillipe thanked sponsors who donated prizes, Town of Lake Fire Department, Jake's Jumpers.com, Craig Pig Master McVane, Pastor Bill Retza and Living Waters Lutheran Church and all vendors who participated and helped to make the event a success.
Wings of Eagles Blue Grass Gospel Band played during the afternoon along with Donna McVane providing the Karakoe.
Next meeting of the Post and Auxillary will be held at Loomis Town Hall on Aug. 7 with Lunch at 6 p.m. and meeting at 7 p.m.
