Middle Inlet Fire Dept. Annual Picnic Aug. 17
The Middle Inlet Volunteer Fire Department invites the public to the 13th annual picnic and open house on Saturday, Aug. 17, at the firehouse, corner of X and 141 in Middle Inlet. There will be food, refreshments, games, raffles, paddle wheel, 50- 50 and music. There will also be a variety of games for children as well as face painting.
The picnic is scheduled from 11 am to 6 pm and the Firemen's Waterball Contest begins at 1pm.
Cash drawings will be held at 5 pm and winners need not be present. Tickets are $1 each or 7 for $5 and are available from any firefighter as well as Dan & Tim's Riverside, I Don't Know Saloon and Highline Bar & Grill. In addition to the cash prizes, there will be lots of donated items including a Coleman Roadtrip Grill, Jermichael Finley autographed football, a beef box, a table and stool set, a sportsman's dream basket and more.
A bake sale is also planned.
The primary purpose of the picnic is to provide financial support to the Middle Inlet Fire Department. This is the only fundraiserfor the year.
