Susan M. Reese
Susan M. Reese, 64, of Pembine, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Aug. 17th at Bellin Health Hospital in Green Bay.
Born Oct. 27, 1948 to the late Ervin and Margaret (Diedrich) Gruber, she grew up in Hilbert, graduating from Hilbert High School in 1967. She worked at Tecumseh in New Holstein from Oct. 5, 1967 to Feb. 21, 2003. A Girl Scout leader for 10 years, she was Cub Scout leader for 5 years and enjoyed children of all ages. A member of the choir at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Pembine, the Niagara Lions Club and a Red Hatter, she enjoyed wood crafting, the computer, friends and looking at pictures of her grandchildren. She was the Sun Shine Girl for the Christian Women making numerous cards for church, family and friends.
She married her best friend, Roger Reese on Sept. 19, 1975 and lived in New Holstein until retiring to Pembine where they had a cottage since 1978 which was made into a home.
She is survived by three step children and two sons; Julie Reese of Fond du Lac, Gary (Paula) Reese of Oostburg, Tina (Jon) DeVillers of Elkhart Lake, Lonnie (Jaime) Reese and Jamie (Sara) Reese both of New Holstein; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Joan (Roger) Krueger of Three Lakes and Jean (Bob) Jankowski of Fremont; three brothers-in-law, Jerry (Cheryl) of Florida, Tom (Betty) of New Holstein and David Reese of Madison and numerous extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Margaret and in-laws, Richard and Josephine Reese and two nephews.
Family and friends may call Thursday, Aug. 22nd at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Pembine from 9 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Father Matt Settle will officiate and burial will be in the Pembine Cemetery.
