Cancel Sept. 5 Loomis Historical
The meeting of the Loomis Historical Society scheduled for Sept. 5 has been canceled.
The society will host the Loomis Days potluck picnic on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Town of Lake Hall. The picnic begins at noon and those attending are asked to bring a dish to pass and their own tableware. Beverages will be provided.
Following the meal, Bill Jamerson, an Upper Peninsula based author and songwriter, will present a musical program about Wisconsin lumberjack history. The title of the program is Its Daylight in the Swamps.
With guitar in hand, Jamerson sings traditional lumberjack songs, tells stories and tell tales about life in the lumber camps. There is no charge for his presentation, but a free-will offering can be made to offset the cost of the program. Everyone is welcome to attend. For more information call Pat Kaufman at 715-854-2997.
