THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Linda Mehlberg, 75, Oconto, lost her battle with cancer with her family by her side.
Born Dec. 17, 1937 in Oconto to the late Audrey and Alvina (Whiting) Ragen, she married Allen Mehlberg on Oct. 6, 1956 and he preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 1998. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Oconto.
She is survived by two daughters, Victoria "Vic" (David) Haag, Lena and Julie (Dennis) Trepanier-Stamsta, Oconto; a son, Butch (Amy) Mehlberg, Oconto; four sisters, Lu (Jerry) Beekman, Oconto; Marlene (friend Wally) Peetz, Lena; Gloria (friend Lyle) Holtger, Suamico and Violet (Arliss) Ausloos, Spruce; a brother, Elmer (Bev) Ragen, Suamico; two sisters-in-law Jean Ragen, Oconto and Dorothy Ragen, Pulaski; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Bob, Clayton and Norbert Ragen.
The family invited friends and family to celebrate her life with visitation held from 1 p.m. until time of services at 4 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 26th at First Presbyterian Church, Oconto. Rev. Craig Alwin officiated with burial at Evergreen Cemetery. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, assisted the family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given.
