Marion (Naze) Thielke, 88, passed away, Aug. 22nd surrounded by her family.
Born on Oct. 19, 1924 to the late Xavier and Helen Naze, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mount Mary College and was an English teacher in Oconto Falls and also worked at Katchs Department Store in Milwaukee.
She volunteered at St. Mary Elementary School, Algoma Public Library and was interested in accomplishments of others versus her own and giving thanks and praise for appreciation whether it be to a complete stranger or family member. She received many letters from Presidents, coaches, teachers and others thanking her for recognizing and appreciating their efforts. She enjoyed teaching English grammar, kids to read and mentoring others on how to live full, rich lives in Christian faith.
She is survived by five children, Susan (Steve Bero), Littleton, Co., Bonnie (Chuck Temple), Springfield, Or., Mary (Phil Perso), Brookfield, Michael (Debbie Hutton), Mountain and Patrick (Ann Pennypacker), Houston, Tex.; seven grandchildren; a great grandson; a brother, Robert (Gloria), a friend Marge Naze and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Xavier and Helen Naze and a brother, Ferdinand Naze.
Family and friends may call at the Schinderle Funeral Home, Algoma, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30th with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, Aug. 31st. at St. Mary Catholic Church at 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. William Swichtenberg officiating.
