THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE

Marinette firefighters were dispatched at 6:58 p.m. to a house fire at 2128 10th St., Marinette on Thursday, Aug. 22. The house had been vacant for about a year, according to neighbors. The cause of the fire is still under investigation but is believed to have started at the back of the house. Also assisting were Menominee Fire Department, Emergency Rescue Squad, and Bay Area Medical Paramedics. Photo shows the home engulfed in flames.
