Charles J. LaMack, 86, of Wallace, Mich., passed away Friday Aug. 30 at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers, Mi.
Born on Jan. 26, 1927 in Menominee to the late Charles and Martha (Schmidt) LaMack, he graduated from Menominee High School and joined the United States Navy Air Force in Jan. of 1945 and spent 20 months serving his country. In 1963, he married Marie Kramer and together raised seven children and worked at Menominee Paper Company for 42 years, retiring in 1990.
He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, gardening, playing and working with his children and teaching them to hunt and shoot straight.
Survivors include a daughter, Theresa LaMack of Waukesha, Wi; six sons, Donald (Nancy) of Menominee, David (Jenny) of Waukesha, Mike of Wallace, Tim (Mary) of Ada, Okla., Bob (Adrianna) of West Milwaukee and Jim of Marinette; six grandchildren and a sister, Mary Lou Sommerfeldt of Marinette .
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack.
Family and friends may call at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home on Wednesday Sept. 4, after 4 p.m. until time of Military Rites at 6 p.m. followed by the funeral service. Father Ronald Timock will officiate with burial in Birch Creek Cemetery.
