Thomas J. "Cheddar" Rost, "The Mountain Man", 57, of Crivitz, died Thursday, Aug. 29th.
Born on Dec. 23, 1955 to Martha and Lloyd Rost, he was one of seven children, two brothers, Robert and James and four sisters, Susan, Barbara, Patricia, and Linda. Other members of his family include nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was an outdoorsman, hunter, expert marksman, would go fishing anytime and enjoyed the warmth of a woodstove and a book.
A memorial fund has been established to plant trees in his name. Columbia St. Mary's Burn Unit in Milwaukee will be a recipient of tissue for grafting. His gifts of donation had the power to heal others and in his words "Keep your stick on the ice and keep your powder dry!"
Friends and family called at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 1 p.m. until time of Memorial service at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31st at the funeral home.
