Dorothy M. Cox
Dorothy M. Cox, 90, of Marinette, passed away Friday, Sept. 6, at Rennes Health Center-East in Peshtigo.
Born July 17, 1923 in Marinette to John and Selma (Sandberg) Anderson, she resided there all of her life, she was a graduate of Marinette High School, Class of 1940 and married Arthur D. Cox on Oct. 18, 1947.
Early in her life she worked at Baker Studios and the Ford garage in downtown Marinette and also worked with her husband as accounting manager of the ice business they operated. She was also an accomplished artist and oil painter, painting with the group, the Escape Artists.
She is survived by two sons, Tim (Jimmye) Cox and Jim (Jean) Cox; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and four siblings.
Friends may call at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home in Marinette after 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13 until time of funeral services at 2 p.m. with Chaplain Darrel Diers officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
