Adeline Krzyzanek, 104, of Antigo, died Sunday, Sept. 22 at Eastview. Born on Dec. 11, 1908 in Wausaukee, she was the daughter of Ted and Marian (Widger) McCartney. On March 20, 1930 she married Paul Krzyzanek in Mountain and he preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 1981.
After graduating high school in Mountain she received nurses training in Milwaukee and worked as a nurses aid in Green Bay for several years. She and her husband owned and operated a farm in Mountain, and she moved to Lily in 1950 and to Antigo in 1991.
A member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, she enjoyed making quilts, knitting, gardening and reading.
Survivors include a daughter, Pauline Doucette of Rhinelander; two grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Caroline Johnvin; and three brothers Elbert, Jim and Bruce.
Graveside services were held at Mountain Cemetery.
