Larry M. Waln
Larry M. Waln, 69, Pembine, passed away on Sept. 17 at Marquette General Hospital.
Born in Cedar Rapids, Ia., April 21, 1944, to Max and Eulalia Waln, he graduated from Madison West High School and spent two years at Coe College in Cedar Rapids studying Criminology. He then enlisted in the Marine Corps as a tank crewman and after the Marines, became a Police Officer and worked several years for the Town of Madison. He transferred to the City of Milwaukee Police Department where he retired in 1996 after 20 years of service.
He lived his last years in Pembine, where he enjoyed fishing and karaoke with friends.
He is survived by three children, Kendis, Sarah, and Max and two grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to join at the Pembine Cemetery Friday, Oct. 4, at 5 p.m. for a burial ceremony. All are invited to gather after at the "Paris in Pembine" Restaurant.
